Whew that was a blast! W had a glorious time in front of a sold out Appel Room. Kat was magic as always. And Bridget Everett made a special guest appearance and slayed us with her rendition of Skylark. The band of Danton Boller, Aaron Thurston, Antoine Drye, and Marika Hughes played to perfection. I couldn’t be happier!

Kat and I were honored that Hoagy Carmichael’s son Hoagy Bix Carmichael came to the Appel Room show. Here we are meeting backstage afterwards:

He said “My father would have loved the show.” (!!!) He also said he appreciated us not overselling the music which I was grateful to hear. Let me tell you, that music is so good it sells itself! Glad we could share this moment together and thank you to the Carmichael family for their blessing.
